The heart of the Kelderman system is a true 4-Link rear suspension that completely replaces the factory rear leaf springs. Heavy-duty trailing arms precisely locate the rear axle while large air springs provide suspension support and ride comfort.

Unlike systems that simply add airbags to the factory leaf springs, Kelderman’s design removes the leaf springs entirely, allowing the suspension to move freely through its travel range while maintaining excellent stability and load handling characteristics.

Kelderman Custom-Valved Monotube Shocks

Standard valving rear shocks are Part # 10037608. HD valved rear shocks are Part # 10037609. 

Every Ram 4500/5500 4-Link Rear Air Suspension includes Kelderman’s custom-valved monotube shock absorbers. These shocks are specifically tuned to complement the ride characteristics of the air suspension system, providing improved ride control, reduced body motion, and increased driver confidence. Unlike generic replacement shocks, Kelderman’s custom valving has been developed specifically around the weight, suspension geometry, and intended use of medium-duty Ram chassis cab trucks.
