DOWN CORN REEL THE ORIGINAL SINCE 1977
The Kelderman Down Corn Reel
Helping farmers get the most of storm damaged corn for nearly 40 years!

A local farmer came to Kelderman with wind/storm damaged corn looking for a solution for harvesting his crop. The Kelderman Down Corn Reel followed shortly thereafter and changed the landscape of harvesting corn. Farmers no longer left their crop in the field, instead they were able to salvage the corn that would have been lost otherwise.

When harvest is in full swing, we know time is of the essence. With over 150,000 square ft. of manufacturing space, Kelderman can quickly meet the demands of our customers. Corn reels are available for a 4 row combine to the biggest of corn heads. Our corn reel is fully adjustable (up & down, fore & aft) and has mounting brackets available for most brands. The hydraulic drive simplifies the system and allows you the ability to vary the speed of the reel. Our corn reel spokes featuring an exclusive, contoured design are self cleaning and prevent the reel from interfering with standing corn.

We're outstanding in our field.
Pun intended.

For over four decades, Kelderman Manufacturing has provided cutting edge products to the agriculture marketplace. From down corn reels to the BPT (Bale Picking Truck), our company has built products to solve everyday agricultural challenges. From the farmer next door to the Department of Energy, Kelderman products have been getting the job done across the globe. With dozens of patented products, Kelderman has been, and continues to be, a leader in innovation.

The Kelderman Down Corn Reel is the ‘Original Corn Reel’ and has been helping farmers harvest storm damaged corn for decades. With over 10,000 corn units in the field, the Kelderman name has become synonymous with dependability in the field. Our reputation has lead us to greater projects and partnerships with the Department of Energy and worldwide agriculture leaders such as Freeman and Abengoa. This led to the creation of the Kelderman ‘Six Shooter’, a first of it’s kind, bale picking truck with a matching, self-loading trailer. Find out more about our agriculture products below.

The Bale Picking Truck
The "Six Shooter"

One of Kelderman’s most recent creations is the Bale Picking Truck or BPT. The BPT is a 600 horsepower, 8 wheel truck designed to harvest square bales sitting in fields. This machine has the ability to collect nearly three semi loads of square bales each hour. The BPT was built as part of a U.S. Department of Energy research, development and demonstration product aimed at reducing costs and improving field-to-end use systems for biomass feedstock supply and logistics.

The Self-Loading Trailer
(SLT)

The Kelderman SLT project was co-funded through a cooperative agreement with the Biomass Energy Technology Office’s (BETO) Feedstock Supply & Logistics Program area. These trailers are currently in use by Abengoa Cellulosic Biorefineries in SW Kansas. These self-loading trailers drastically reduce loading and unloading times, reduce the number of trucks and trailers required for hauling operations and then reduces the cost of delivering biomass feedstocks.
