The Home Run Ball

2016 RAM 3500

Andre Ethier can pretty much have whatever he wants. As a professional baseball player for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Ethier has spent his life honing his craft. When he’s not focusing his attention on baseball, he wants to enjoy things like time with his family, friends, and his car collection. When Andre wanted to add a new Ram dually to his fleet he knew who to call. Andre splits time between Los Angeles and his native Phoenix, but purchased a 2016 Ram 3500 Mega Cab dually and had it shipped to Kelderman headquarters in Oskaloosa, Iowa for a full build.   The premise of the build was pretty simple. Andre wanted a truck that looked tough, without the tough ride. The Kelderman 5-6” Air Suspension Lift Kit took care of both tasks. Our full air suspension lift kit removed the front coil springs and rear leaf springs to let the big dually float on a full air suspension setup. With the truck receiving an extra five inches of lift, there was plenty of room for a set of 24” American Force Hawk dually wheels in a flat black finish with 37x13.50R24 Toyo Open Country M/T tires. To add to the aggressive tone of the Ram, spiked chrome lug nut covers were added for a more threatening look. The Ram also got a full assortment of light upgrades from Recon Truck Accessories including: smoked projector headlights, tail lights, fender lights, and a 3rd brake light. Front and rear bumpers from Fusion Bumpers in a Line-X protective finish opened up some space for Rigid Industries Dually lights in the front bumpers. Another set of 4” Rigid Industries E-Series lights provide some added light when backing up or hooking up to a trailer. A custom grille with a ‘Kraken’ insert was another request from Andre. Done in a contrasting matte/gloss black finish, it adds another personal touch to the build. Final modifications to the new Cummins includes a black Magnaflow exhaust for an upgraded look and performance while a Transfer Flow 50 gallon in-bed fuel tank helps the Ethier family avoid the truck stop on trips from LA to Phoenix. All the modifications to this Ram makes for one mean, but comfortable setup. Now there is no doubt that this big Ram is one of the meanest ever to round the bases.
