Silver Surfer F-250

Tim Nicolau has spent a long time in the custom truck scene. Hailing from Ceres, California, Tim sees a different side of the the scene than most. The Central California or 'CenCal' scene is known for big lifts, small tires, and is never short on custom powder coat and chrome finishes. Tim has built close to a dozen trucks himself and has used Kelderman's quality parts on nearly all of them. Ford, Ram, Chevrolet, and GMC trucks have all been customized at the hands of Tim Nicolau Designs. With the release of the redesigned 2017 Ford Super Duty, he immediately knew what the next project should be. Everything started with a bone stock 2017 Ford F-250 Platinum. To be just a bit different than most, a long bed version of the truck was picked for the project. With such a long truck to work with, the build was immediately dubbed, 'The Silver Surfer', as a nod to it's Cali roots. No time was wasted getting the truck up in the air with a Kelderman 10-12" 4-Link Air Suspension Lift Kit. All components were dressed up in a mixture of Candy Red powder coat and chrome, something that is synonymous with Tim's builds. The wheel wells were filled up with polished 26x16 Fuel Forged FF19 wheels and 40x15.50R26 tires, also from Fuel Off Road. To make sure this wasn't 'just another truck', Tim swapped out the front & rear bumpers for a new set of Kelderman Bravo Series Bumpers. The front end also benefited from a Kelderman Bravo Series Grille and everything was painted to match. Rigid Industries L.E.D. lights in the bumpers and grille help the big Powerstroke see anything in front of it. Custom painted headlights, smoked tail lights and a stainless/polished exhaust from MBRP Exhaust round out the modifications to the truck. Looking through the photos will tell you that this truck is easily one-of-a-kind, but that's simply what he does with custom truck builds.  Until another truck and wild idea comes comes along, Tim and 'The Silver Surfer' will just enjoy watching the waves roll in.
